Getting Your Vehicle Ready for Summer

Summer is coming.
Is your vehicle ready?

Here are a few tips to help get ready for the hot summer months to come:

1. Check your tire air pressure. Make sure to set it to the owners manual or the plate that is mounted on the driver side door jamb.

2. Check your air conditioning system. You can do that yourself or have your local mechanic do it. Have all leaks fixed and your coolant recharged.

3. Take a look at your wipers and wiper fluid. Being able to see the road is most important. You can even buy washer solution that helps clear away bugs from the windshield.

4. Check under your hood. Check your oil, battery, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid. Refill if needed.

5. Wash and wax your car. Winter can do a work on the finish of your vehicle. A good cleaning on the inside and out will make it feel like a new vehicle again.

6. Keep summer essentials close at hand. You never know when you may be stranded so it's always a good idea to keep a few essentials close by. Water, sports drinks, sun block, change of clothes, snacks, and even toys can make the difference between a failed trip and a fun trip.

Safe travels!
