Santa Claus is Coming to Town

C2 Freight asked their employees to share the most memorable item they asked Santa for as a child and what they would ask him for now?

Here's what they said:

Delilah:  Large Barbie Doll head so I could play with makeup and hair accessories. Now, a long haired Dachshund.

Mary:  Didn't have Christmas as a child.  Now, full week vacation with NO work.

Shanda: All different kinds of baby dolls. Now, a new house and a Lexus RX 350.

Jeff: A clock radio in 1968.  I feared my parents would not be able to afford it.  That Christmas I was more proud of them finding a way than I was of Santa.

Bess:  A pink scooter!
Now, I'd wish for an Alaskan vacation.

Scott
:  Official Red Ryder, carbine action, 200-shot, range model air rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time!

Tonya: A Baby Alive.  Now, I would want granite countertops!

Mallory: A baby doll every single year!  Now, a paid vacation to one of the Sandal's resorts.

Dana: Cabbage Patch doll.  Now, I'd ask for Covid 19 and the need for wearing masks to be gone.

C2 Cares 2020

Back in January C2 Freight Resources, Inc set out to make 2020 a year of giving as a company and the employees individually. We started by encouraging our employees in charitable giving and then matching it up to $400 per month - per employee.

Once the COVID-19 pandemic hit we understood that these are the type of circumstances that make giving that much more important, so we continued through in faith.

In August, C2 Freight won a sweepstakes from our tracking software company in the amount of $500, so we knew what we wanted to do... give back! That $500 was passed on to the Wounded Warrior Project in hopes of helping and encouraging those in need.

In addition to our usual giving projects, like hosting quarterly blood drives with LifeSouth Blood Donation Centers and shopping for children in need in our community during Christmas, we wanted to end 2020 big in giving back with another giving project. Our latest giving project has each and every employee tasked with an individual giving goal.

In a year like 2020 it has been a blessing to be able to give back in numerous ways. We want to encourage anyone who is able to seek out someone in need and give as well.

Contact local churches, food pantries, clothes closets, homeless shelters, children's homes, nursing homes and assisted living centers, your elderly neighbor, or keep your eye out in day-to-day life and notice if someone needs your assistance.

"In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” - Acts 20:35 NASB
