We've all dreamed of being able to work from home. The freedom, no commute, and extra time seems like a dream come true for your production, but after a while it can seem isolated and make you feel less effective. According to Inbound Logistics, they offer 6 tips to maximize productivity while working at home:
1. Stay connected. Be sure to stay in contact with your other team members. This will keep you up-to-date with your employers expectations and help you be more productive.
2. Hold regular meetings. Start off by checking in with each person. Create an agenda and stick to it. End with an action plan for everyone.
3. Create a "to-do" list. I do this daily. I check off each item as I complete it. It helps stop distractions and keeps me focused.
4. Have a separate work space. Don't use your living room couch as your desk. Find your own little area and make it your office. So at the end of the day, you can leave it and "go home."
5. Maintain your routine. Stick to your list, take your breaks and lunches, and sign off at the end of the day.
6. Get up from time to time. Stand in the sunlight, get a different view, stretch your legs - anything to break the monotony.
These tips, if followed, can help your work from home "nightmare" become your "dream come true" job. Good luck and happy working!
